Work Package 5.3: Administrative Management

Work Package Description

WP 5.3 covers the topics regarding administrative management as such and certain external interactions with epSOS, as well as the areas: global liaison and stakeholder liaison. Key tasks in WP 5.3 are concerned with the contractual and financial management of the project and thus deal with budgeting as well as resources and reporting on activities. The Work Package is also concerned with assuring the appropriate application of provisions of the epSOS Consortium Agreement and the Grant Agreement with the EC.

Furthermore, WP 5.3 is responsible for a number of other administrative activities. These include providing ongoing support to the project and the Project Management Team by modifying project resources, plans and contact information, developing appropriate decision structures, and drafting appropriate policies for adoption by the Steering Board. A hotline informing about these areas is offered to individual beneficiaries. Work Package leaders are informed regularly about the resource situation in their WP as well as the activities, contributed by the WP partners. A Management and Coordination Handbook has been drafted for reference in dealing with project issues such as resource shifts and meeting regulations.

WP 5.3 also hosts the two important tasks of global liaison and stakeholder liaison, relating to the interaction of epSOS with outside bodies. Global liaison, led by the Swedish Ministry of Health, deals with outreach towards international standardisation organisations and other relevant stakeholders outside the EU. Stakeholder liaison, led by SALAR, focuses on cooperation with the EU associations of health care professionals (HCPs), patients and representatives of national administrations, which are not yet part of the epSOS project. This is carried out in coordination with the Thematic Network CALLIOPE on the basis of a joint activity plan, the CALLepSO Joint Working Agreement.
