7th - 9th May: eHealth week in Copenhagen

The 10th edition of the ministerial eHealth conference took place 7-9 May in Copenhagen, Denmark within the eHealth week 2012 together with the World of Health IT conference and exhibition. epSOS was showcasing its demonstrator on the Patient Summary service at the booth of the European Commission. Additionally the Danish epSOS cross-border ePrescription service at a Danish pharmacy was demonstrated at the PatientVille.

Many people were interested in the project and the demonstrators. The epSOS representatives noticed that the knowledge of and about epSOS is increasing steadily. epSOS was mentioned in many workshops/speeches/meetings/discussions during the eHealth week. 

The general feedback was that people appreciate the work epSOS has done and that they are really impressed and amazed that this is not just a good idea anymore, but a real situation. Especially students and the industry were very keen to learn more about the project. Most people cannot wait to see it actively, some were already willing to participate.

6th - 10th March: CeBIT

From 6th to 10th of March the Large Scale Pilot (LSP) roadshow made a stop at the CeBIT 2012 to present all five of the LSP projects at the booth of the European Commission. CeBIT is the digital industry's biggest and most international event. Thanks to its unique combination of exhibition, conferences, keynotes, corporate events and lounges, CeBIT represents an unrivaled tool for doing business. 

epSOS was part of the LSP joint booth, showcasing its services and offering insight to the broad public. Furthermore, Kathrin Morawetz (epSOS WPL of Dissemination) informed Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission, and Hans-Peter Friedrich, Federal Minister of the Interior in Germany, about the latest achievements within the project at the opening ceremony of the joint LSP booth. 

The epSOS system was presented in its piloting environment to (e)health experts and laymen coming from different European and non-European countries. The interest of the audience was very high and the project team received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees.
