CeBIT is the digital industry's biggest and most international event. Thanks to its unique combination of exhibition, conferences, keynotes, corporate events and lounges, CeBIT represents an unrivaled tool for doing business. More than 4,200 companies from over 70 countries participated at CeBIT 2011. This year, the LSP roadshow will make a stop at the CeBIT to present all of the 5 LSP projects at the booth of the European Commission. epSOS will be part of the joint booth, showcasing its services and offering insight to the broad public. 13th February 2012

On the 25th of January the follow-up of the meeting "Future planning for the LSP Building Blocks - Medium and long term" took place. In this context the preparation of the new Pilot A on the objective of "Basic Cross Sector Services" in the 6th Call for Proposals of the CIP ICT PSP Programme was discussed. epSOS Project Coordinator Fredrik Linden participated in the meeting and presented his ideas on the new pilot. Furthermore, the new eHealth network - which will meet in this new constellation for the very first time during the eHealth week in Copenhagen - was presented by the EC

Results from the eHGI & epSOS event in 2011

In the beginning of November the 2011 epSOS and eHealth Governance Initaive joint event took place. From 9th until 11th of November a number of events and workshops where held as satellites to the central "epSOS pilots setting sail" event that took place on the 10th of November, 2011 in Athens.  

The objectives of the event(s) were:

  • to show conditions of legal, organizational, semantic and technical interoperability of cross border eHealth based services: PS / eP 
  • to offer to a wide audience of delegates from governments, industries, healthcare and research organisations the results achieved so far and demonstrate how epSOS got to setting sail of its pilots
  • to reflect on the importance and role of epSOS within the EU policy and strategy domain as well as the way epSOS is influencing national implementations
  • to demonstrate epSOS in action

epSOS NEWS: System testing moves towards pilot operation

A review of the first insights gained from the testing phase in Pisa: Projectathon #2

The second epSOS Projectathon took place in Pisa (Italy) from April 11th to 15th, 2011. Parallel to the regular IHE Connectathon, 13 epSOS Participating Nations from Europe and 2 companies took advantage of the chance to test the interoperability of their systems with the goal of exchanging cross-border patient data with other nations using the integration profiles developed by IHE.
