CALLepSO is the joint work group tasked with the creation of a meeting space between CALLIOPE and epSOS. It will bridge the input of their members in order to ensure a broader acceptance for eHealth applications across Europe.

The CIP is an EC Framework Programme intended to run from 2007 to 2013. Its primary goal is to provide financing for projects intended to enhance the competitiveness of European enterprises. (especially SMEs)

Citizens are individuals in Member States who can be patients, relatives of patients, carers or persons who may need to have access to healthcare in the future. At its simplest, citizens are represented as the total population of a Member State (EHRI). 

"Cross-border interoperability" means interoperability between neighbouring and non-neighbouring Member States and their entire territories.

Health Care Professional who provides the order of a prescription. The professional person must be authorized to do so. 

An interactive process to exchange information with an interested audience, but also between epSOS partners, using several methods and channels.

The term eGovernment refers to the adoption of ICT tools for providing citizens and businesses with better public services, enabling them to carry out their business with government more easily, more quickly and at lower cost. This process is not only about using the tools, but also about rethinking structures and procedures, and adapting to changing needs and behaviours in order to render government services more efficiently.

The term eHealth may refer to ICT tools and services for health, used by healthcare professionals, institutions and administrations as well as utilities which provide patients directly with services related to healthcare.
